Michael's 5th Grade Graduation

Michael looked so grown up in his suit for his graduation. Michael received 9 awards on this night, For Outstanding Dedication In Broadcasting the News; Most Likely To Succeed; Survival Award (for his knowledge in outdoors); Douglas County B.L.A.S.T. Program; Outstanding Citizenship; President's Education Award of Outstanding Academic Excellence; Outstanding French Student; Straight A Honor Roll; and 125 Points for the Accelerated Reading Program

Its so hard for us to believe that Michael will be in the 6th grade next year. He has done so well this year and we are so very proud of him. We know that he will go far in life. He is a very smart young man and we love him very much.
In attendance to watch Michael receive all of his awards were Mom, Dad, Stephen, Chris, Kaitlyn, Papaw, Nana in thoughts (we wish she could have made it), Papaw Mitch, Mamaw Marion, Uncle Jon, Aunt Ashley and Cousin Mackenzie. Afterwards, we celebrated by taking the graduate to Texas Roadhouse with a special dinner in his honor. Everyone went.

Dear Michael,
We are so very proud of you and how well you have done in school! We know you are very intelligient and that you will always excel in school. Remember to study hard, for whether you decide to go to college or technical school, you will need all you've learned.
We are also very proud of your mother. The two years that she was a single mother, she had no financial support, but she worked two jobs and sacrificed to provide you with the best schools and day care available. Although it was difficult at times, she was up early and drove you to school every morning before work. She even managed to attend all your PTA meetings and conferences.
Attending good schools, learning good study skills and having parental support, has given you a good base for life, no matter what you may decide to do. We have no doubts that you will choose to do something great with your life and we will support you in any way we can. We love you and want to see you be happy and sucessful in life.
Lots Of Love,
Papaw & Nana
